I'm sure I've heard from other posters on here that some agencies offer a free consultancy session, I'm sorry I don't know who they are as we as we didn't need to use an agent.

Hi,

for the OP:

Just to let you know we are currently working with PTlabs as an agent at pretty muc hthe same place you are at - the beginning :). So far he has been really helpful and quick at responding - plus is a specialist in IT cases.

We too originally didnt wish to use an agent. His fee for assessing your 'chances' so to speak really was very nominal and well worth it in my opinion.

It might be worth it for him to be able to point you in the right direction. I konw how hard it is to feel your picking an agent off the internet so though a personal recommendation may help :)

Hi Samluc

HI,

How are you, how far have you gone with visa situation, i am in exactly the same position as you, i have been in IT for about 8 yrs now, and have a very good knowledge all round. Its very frustrating that they only give 40 points for IT Technician, i prob know more than most IT managers. have you had any luck the agency? my partner does not work as she is looking after kids (2). but she is intending to go to college.

regards

Dave
