Cats

Hi All

I'm sure this has probably been asked before, but has anyone recently taken their cat to Perth?

If so what company did you use, and what were the total costs?

Thanks

Hiya MissLily,

We recently (jan) brought our 15 year old cat! to perth, we used pets on the move www.petsonthemove.co.uk because they had a north west office (we lived in preston). We payed £1,330 - they applied for all permits, arranged travel etc., and when we picked Becky up a couple of weeks ago we paid $665. The quarantine in Byford is brilliant, Becky had obviously been well cared for, she hadn't lost weight, you can visit your pet if you want to - we didn't as my daughter said she'd be too upset, but we did make a couple of phone calls and they were great. I can't fault the service at all that we received in the UK and in Peth (someone actually came to the house to collect the cat) an I know that it's expensive (it only cost us - a family of 4 £500 more to fly to perth), but it has meant the world to my daughter and we couldn't have put a price on that

Ali

Hi Ali

Thanks for that, it is more expensive than I remember though. I moved over to Perth in 2003 and took my little kitty! Byford were great and Miss Lilly was looked after very well, even though she hated it!!

We should be coming to Perth in May 2007 but trying to convince hubby to take my baby is like beating head against a brick wall! I know it's alot and we've already taken her and brought her back, but I can't bear leaving her! To me it's like saying it's too expensive to take my son so I should leave him here! It's inconcevible!!!

Anyway, I'll keep on trying. Sounds good that they come and pick up from your home!

How you getting on in Perth, settling in ok?

Thanks again
Sam
