Hi Chino,

I didnt get enough points and have been sponsored by a company so have gonew through the visa 457 subclass process and we are now just awaiting on visa approval from immigration. i have 9 years experience in the job i did as Care worker and the only proper qualification i have is NVQ Level 2 all the rest of my certificates were small courses during the job like moving and handling etc and i got a job via sponsorship virtually straight away.

Try this web site: www.seek.com.au and type in teacher in the search box then click the pink search button, then it will come up with all the teachers jobs available and tells you where they are, then all you do is click on each individual one and see if they apply to your needs then just send them an email asking if they do sponsorship.

Good Luck and hope this helps.

Lynne

Help

Hi Chino (and anyone else who might be able to help!)

How have you found the fact that you are living in southern Spain and not in the UK. We currently live in France and want to migrate to Australia. However, proving my husband's work here in France has been a bit of an ordeal. Have you encountered any problems yet? Does anyone else out there know what to do if you aren't currently residing in the UK and not able to get certain evidence of employment? Are there ways around it?

Please someone, help, as we have set out hearts on this now.

Carla

Hi carla,
We are also finding it difficult as apparently my wifes qualifications as a nursery teacher which she got in ireland and u.k. arent recognized in austrailia but she has never had a problem in europe with her papers ,we have found that everything takes so long but we have found that we will not have to go to england for medicals as there is an approved doctor about 100 km from where we currently living u can check this for yourselfs at www.immi.gov.au as it has a list of approved doctors all over the world good luck with your search

Hiya Chino
i think sponsered may be the route to go ,did they not offer you an alternative way of entry ?? try speaking with a few more agents explain what qualifications you have and ask what options are open to you,,also were in spain are you we just sold our holiday home in Mazarron to come here,,heats pretty similar most of the time so you should be ok,, good luck
