QUEENSLAND OR PERTH (OR ANYWHERE ELSE!)

Sure it's all been asked before - but we just don't know what area to look at. At the moment its between Queensland and Perth. Which has the best climate/schools/beeches/house prices etc etc etc. I suppose it must be the same for anyone no matter where they're relocating.
I want the same as everyone else - the kids can walk to a superb school, do loads of sports, go to the beach in safety, and I can have the best of all worlds. Where I live now is so quiet and peaceful and yet only 8 minutes from the centre of Cambridge - and I love the area - BUT we don't have a beech, and we don't have a laid back lifestyle, and we certainly don't have any sunshine.
Any advice?

Know what ya mean!

Were thinking of Perth, not looked at Queensland at all. Ive heard so many good things about Perth and how its so family orientated etc. I live in Ipswich, so not that far from you. What stage are you at? Were just thinking about it at the mo and wondering how and when we can get the money to go over and visit! We have 2 kids, Daisy 18months and Alfie 3 and half. Are you going the Aus Expo at Earls Court Hotel in March, im sure we will get all our questions answered there. Sooooo much to think about - dont really know where to start! weve done the points thing for skilled workers and have enough so at least we know it is possible!!!
All good fun!

Hi myself and family are looking at Perth as we've been told it is one of the most popularist places that brits head for? it does however seem more expensive than most other places sydney excluded of cousre!
So i suppose its wether you want to migrate from the UK and be surrounded by brits

Thanks for your replies. Yes, I know that Perth is one of the most popular places for Brits - but I wonder why?. Is it because we think that because there's loads of us there already that we should go there too? - or is it because we've done our research and it really is the best place?. Do you see why I'm confused. The thing is, when I look at the property I can see that Perth is a safe option (loads of us, very suburban, sunshine, sea blah blah), but am I being a little bit Costa Del Sol and too frightened to really make a break.
I really AM confused.

hiya
I only found out about it from someones post on one of the forums on this site. Its Sat 24th March/Sun 25th March at IBIS Earls Court Hotel in Lonon. £15 cash on the day. Have a search through the Subjects on the forums, im sure its titled ausi expo or something like that. Theres a link to the actual website too.
Hope that helps.
