Good afternoon all, anyone out there willing to give advide on the big move to Oz. Husband and i have been seriousy thinking about upping sticks and moving to pastures new down under, having read a number of accounts on here i thought it best to register and get chatting.
At the moment, i work for an nursing agency, currently classifed as an auxillary nurse, my husband has taken voluntary redundancy from work and actively seeking new. However we could really do with some advice on where to start on things regarding the move to australia.

We have a general idea on costs but of course all an approximate guess. How easy/hard is it to get a job, finding the right location and schools etc.

We have looked for places both in NSW and QSL but obviously we need to get out there, which i cant see happening till next yr now. However we want to be able to start things rolling regards to collating as much info as poss as we are addament it is what we want.

How soon do you recommend to start talking to agents and getting things started.

Thanks Guys and Gals Suze xxx

Hi Suze

First things first you will have to see if your jobs are on the skills in demand list. Are you a fully qualified nurse? If yes you should be fine.

Then see how many points you accumulate on the assessment different visas require different points.

I would ring a couple of agents some offer a free 20 min consultation you will soon find out if you have what OZ are looking for.

Good luck

Kaye :)
