Agent advice

Hi there,

My husband and I are just starting the process of moving to Oz (all fingers crossed). He is a plumber so should qualify fairly easily, so we've been told.

We have been in contact with a company called Visa Bureau - has anyone dealt with this company? We want to make sure that we are putting our money with the right people and making it as painless as possible! Any info you can give would be great.

We are hoping to move to either Brisbane or Townsville. We're visiting them in September to try and help decide, again anything you can tell us to help would be fab!

Lou

Hi Ian & Lou,
We (Peggy) and I (Lisa) used Visa Bureau also, and I too would recommend them. Our visa took a while to sort as details changed and things were added, and they were fab. Particularly Juliet Whitcombe. She kept in touch with us always, even if she didn't really have anything to tell us. But I must say it was quite expensive, more than I expected. £3000+, but when they give you an initial quote, they do break it down so you can see what you are paying for. I don't think I would have liked to have a go at doing it myself, and I am organised personified - the list queen.
They didn't charge us any extra for all the additional stuff we had to add.
So I am glad we used them, and Juliet rang me to let me know when our visa's were granted. And she seemed as thrilled as we were.

Thanks everyone - 7 mths wow that is fast! They told us it would probably take about 15 mths. 7 months would be handy though, as we have just booked a visit to Brisbane for September.

We have been quoted £3000+ as well, which I'm happy to pay if they do a great job.
