Royal Mail is cheaper but it is easier to track if you use a courier, and also much quicker. Our medicals were sent by International Signed For (Royal Mail) and they took just over 3 weeks to arrive! :(

We used www.interparcel.com for our visa application and it took 4 days and you can track it all the way. They use companies like DHL etc but are cheaper than them.

It is worth paying out the extra just for peace of mind that you can track and it will get there quickly. :D

We used Royal Mail for everything we sent (Dr. Sent medicals for which we paid £15). No problems with Royal Mail, got there within 7 days - guess at this time of year it could take longer

We used interparcel yesterday to send hubby's assessment docs over. Cost around £22. They were picked up by DHL and the guy told hubby that if it had been direct through DHL it would have cost over £60 - bargin!
