PUT HOUSE ON MARKET NOW OR WAIT

Its been 3 months since our application sent. Just waiting for the go ahead to get medicals etc (police checks already done). When is the best time to make that big step and put the house for sale. Is it too early? Not sure what do do for the best!!!! We would appreciate any advice- what are the majority of people doing?

We put our house up for sale when we came back from our rekke last year it took six month for the house to go though, We already had our visa's so there was no waiting for us just a case of selling up and going..

Hi,

We put our house on the market the month after sending medicals and police checks offer. Sold within the month - we will move begining of January. It took our applications 7 months start to finish (136 visa). When are your police checks dated? When you get your visa you will be given 12 months from that date to validate your visa, this can make things a little rushed as you won't actually get 12 months to move. If you're happy to move into rented or with family, then it may be worth doing now

Firstly, Congratulations on your application and good luck with your new life in OZ. Our Police Checks are dated 12 June 06, we were told these took a while to process and were advised to have them ready.

Hi Mandie

We applied end of March and put our house up end of May, took 10weeks to sell. Are moving out end of Oct, have no visa yet but have frontloaded police checks and had meds done yesterday! No case officer yet, waiting impatietly like everyone else, hopefully we'll have visa by then otherwise we'll move into rented.

we sold before our meds were requested....we are still waiting for our visa and have to be out of the house in 2 weeks!! We are ready for a move either way!!

Back to my mum's at the moment!! even though is said i never would!! Hoping our visa won't be long now as we have nothing left here, have sold everything, besides our clothes!! Our dog is booked to fly out on the 7th sep so we best get in soon!! This has got to be the most stressful thing one does. Always though it would be quite easy to go but now things are getting a bit more real i'm starting to panic!! :?

I think you are really brave and i can't imagine how stressed out you must be right now but just keep thinking of Oz and the new life that awaits you. I hope you get your Visa soon.
