just joined. After a lot of deliberation decided to make the decision to move to oz after finding out we are eligible to apply for a skilled independent 136. In early stages and are just filling out TRA application forms, and how daunting is that! I think we are made as we have never been to Australia and have no family or friends out there. Is there any body else in the same situation?

Welcome to the forum, we are heading out to Oz in June this year after having our STNI visa granted in Feb this year, we have never been there on holiday or have any friends there, so we are in the same situation as you, but remeber if you really do not like it you can always come home.

we too are going for skilled independant 136 ,started the ball rolling with the tra in september and had medicals done (requested) a couple of weeks ago ,so hopefully not much longer to wait ,the waiting being the hardest thing to cope with when your like me who wants everything there and then.
we have no family out there but were lucky enough to visit in March and made a couple of good friends willing to help us out if necessary when we arrive.Oz is such a friendly easygoing place you will make friends easy enough ,dont let that worry you.
