First posting so be nice!!!!
We are seriously thinking about leaving this sinking ship and heading off to Oz so the first question we would like to ask is, Can you be specific about where you would like to move to? I have rellies in the town of Mudgee N.S.W. and would like to go there.

My wife and I (and three mad children) are heading to New South Wales as well. My wife has family in North Rothbury (about an hour outside Newcastle) so we'll be starting from there.

Hi we have decided that enough is enough,
And on friday started the whole process of us moving towards a better life.
me,hubby and 4 mad kids!!
My husband can get us all out there on a skilled visa ,
But the big question is WHERE do we start,???????????
We want to go out and have a look around and try to decide where ,but again where do we start??

we are also off, leaving this sinking ship and not a moment too soon!!
myself, husband and two children aged 3 and 11 months.
Started application two months ago with Overseas Emmigration who came highly recommended, not everyone uses an agent but we have found them invaluable, hoping to get there september 07, not sure where, either brisbane area or Perth, any info on either place would be welcome !!!!

Hi Beth,

We initially looked at Brisbane, but it was just going to be too hot and expensive for us to be close to the city or the sea. So we ended up settling for Perth, and having visited, it looks great for us and our 2 children (9 year-old son + 2 year-old daughter).
