Which migration agent ?

Hi just joined this site and wondered if anyone could shed any light on which migration agent to use. We are getting lots of quotes which vary from £ 700.00 to £ 2500.00 any advice on this would be much appreciated.

The Jenner's
Hi,
We've just heard about our visas and can definately recommend our migration agent.

The company is Migration Matters, http://www.migrationmatters.com/australia.php?sid=oz

The person we used was "Cathrine", however I know that business did pick up and she now has a few people working for her.

All I can say is that they were great, did everything we needed or wanted and kept in really close contact, when we wanted it. They held our hand through the process and I can honestly say that it was money well spent.

Good luck!

Tony

Hi Daveplumber

I have used ASA consultants which I am happy to recommend. I have not had a straight forward application but the Visa is no in and they have been there every step of the way.

They have offices in UK and Australia. You can just buy the services you require if you do not want to pay for a full service. They have 24 hr e-mail service which is most useful.

Check out there website and see what you think.

Good luck with it.

Am also using ASA on a full service with priority processing. So far its the best money I have EVER spent... and the best thing is that you get a progression bar in your client area which gives you a percentage of what is left to be done. We are currently at 78.6% I LOVE IT! small things please small minds and all that, but watching the figures climb is better than knowing who shot JR.

Hi Dave

I would say that the best thing is to ask around on the forums and look for personal recommendations. If you get given the name of a firm or an agent, do an advanced search of the forums, using the firm/person's name as a keyword, to enable you to see a good cross-section of what has been said by others who have used the same people.

Make a short list and then ring all the agents on the shortlist, I suggest. At this stage, you are interviewing them as much as they are interviewing you, and it is a buyer's market.

At the end of the day, I suggest, do not be driven by price alone. This is one of the biggest and most personal steps you will ever take in your life, so choose the agent with whom you feel the most comfortable, because you are going to have to work very closely indeed with this person for anything up to the next 18 months.

Take your time and choose wisely, my friend.

Cheers

Gill
