RSMS processing times
Hi to everyone at poms in oz!! We have collated all our documents and send everything including
police checks to our agent. My future employer has lodged his nomination and as soon as that's approved
our agent will lodge our RSMS visa application. So we don't have a case officer yet and still have to do our medicals. Our agent reckons that once our applications are lodged, the processing times could be around 5-7 months. Now that the RSMS is changing for the 1st July do you believe that applications lodged before stand a chance to be processed sooner, as my family and myself are keen to leave for Oz as soon as possible?
Many thanks for any feedback and hope to see you soon in OZ

Hi there, just wanted to say Welcome!
Can't help you with this I'm afraid but I'm sure someone will be along who can.
May I also suggest you post on the Migration Issuses forum too, you may get more answers.
Good luck

Hi there,
There is an RSMS timeline thread in the Migration Issues section which will help you. It does depend on your occupation and also which Processing Centre you are applying to as to how long it takes. This is the latest update:
Current Processing Dates
If you have lodged an ENS or RSMS application, you should have received an acknowledgement letter shortly after you lodge your application. This letter will advise that your application has been received and placed with our on-hand cases.
We are currently allocating applications to case officers for assessment in the following time frames,
Parramatta Centre of Excellence (COE) ENS cases which were received on19 October 2011
Parramatta Centre of Excellence (COE) RSMS cases which were received on 19 November 2011
Melbourne Centre of Excellence (COE) ENS cases which were received on 2 December 2011.
Melbourne Centre of Excellence (COE) RSMS cases which were received on 16 December 2011.
The Perth Centre of Excellence (COE) ENS cases which were received on 16 February 2012.
The Perth Centre of Excellence (COE) RSMS cases which were received on 4 January 2012.
Once your application is allocated to a case officer for assessment, you will be contacted by your case officer if further information or documentation is required in order to make a decision on your application. This will generally occur within one working week of your application being allocated to a case officer. Please be aware that the Department may make a decision on your application without requesting additional information.
If you do not think your application has been allocated to a case officer and more than a week has elapsed beyond the relevant date of allocation above, please make this clear in your email. We will get back to you in such a situation.
