Hi and welcome! If you have a look at the other forums, there are a couple specifically for nurses i.e. official nurses thread, there are loads of us moving to Australia and there is a wealth of information to be found on here.
Best of luck

Hi
Im moving to Sydney in 4 weeks time, Im also a nurse and like you AHPRA have taken the money and are processing my application. Are you moving out on your own? Im moving with my husband and 2 year old son. Am SO nervous and excited about the move, think work is probably my biggest fear!
Hopefully by March we will be settled and will be able to answer questions for you!

yeah im going on my own. so have AHPRA approved your registration? I applied for my visa today and have my medical next week but need to go to china first to see my other half. They might come and join me in august and the plan is to go travelling. Do u have a permanent job? thanks for the reply :)

Hi Shelbert85, I'm curious; you haven't received your AHPRA registration but your applying for your visa? What visa are you applying for?
My fiance is childrens nurse and is also awaiting her AHPRA registration but we're not doing anything with visas just yet. We're wanting to get out there March/April time too but on a sponsored visa. Reason I'm asking is to find out whether she will need a medical for her visa? And, I think with the route we're taking she doesn't apply for the visa 'til she gets sponsorship...
When did you send off you AHPRA registration and to which office? Sent ours to Sydney and feeling that may have been a mistake being one of the busiest offices.
All the best!
