I found that the cold in Melbourne was only a problem when the overnight temp drops to below 10 deg. Thank goodness for winter doonas.

During the day I would wear a suit and on the very cold days wrap a scarf round. Other than that I found the sun warms you up when outside (Hot Cold we used to call it).

I've been back in UK now for 10 months, and can't acclimatize at all. The temperatures seem to stay in the colder than I would like range and can't get used to it at all.

It's rare for me to feel cold in the daytime during Winter...quite the opposite sometimes, you go out all wrapped up in the morning and by 11 its too warm for your cardi and scarf....The evenings are pretty nippy though, anything below about 13d tends to feel cold for me. I think its about 15 right now and I'm under a blanket with a fluffy jumper on. No heating required though, perfectly comfortable.

Big firms like the one we work for have seasonal heating and usually at this time of year in the UK the temperature is warmer and the radiators are shut down. It was a record minus 27 in winter here in the UK not long back, but I assess it being really cold when you have scraped the ice hoff the car window, put anti-freeze on and the anti-freeze, freezes.

      Change the record Hoff, lol.

Neither cold nor heat bother me but humidity does, so no Cairns or Darwin for this lad.

Coldest i've ever been was around -15. I never want to be that cold again! That was in 2010 when we had a awful winter. I like temps around 20oc, anything more than 30 and i start to struggle esp if its humid, us scots just arent used to it lol

Lovely sunny day in Melbourne today, blue sky and outside just need a jumper. I find Melbourne winter's quite mild, odd frosts but then beautiful days. Only time it a problem is when the westerly/southerly blows and that is down to the wind chill factor. I have a few coats but hardly ever wear them. Probably would in morning if I took public transport and then I would be too hot on the train, can't win. Yesterday I was rugged up in shopping centre, way too warm.

Its the middle of Summer here in the UK!!!!!

Well the weather up here in sunny Newcastle Upon Tyne - NOT!! is a lovely hot 8c at the moment, day time temps hitting those extreeeem temps of 14/15c and as normal has been absolutely chucking it down since last Monday. Its raining more than its dry and the birds are now using the wheat field out the back as a boating lake. Forecast for next week - rain (yawn yawn) until next Friday with daytime highs of 15-16c (oh its getting warmer as we approach the longest day).

Cant wait to move to Bundaberg, Ill take a cold 22c any day.

What temp makes you cold?
It feels different in oz, when it is 21c in oz it feels cold, when it is 21c in the uk it feels warm, nothing to do with being climatised it is just the air feel.
Making you think outside of the box since 1999.
