Hi can anyone tell me if there are still hairdressing jobs available, we are hoping to make the move in the next two or three months depending on our house sale. We are staying in Mornington from 1st June to validate our visas so we are hoping to check out the job situation. Also my hubby is a warehouse operative at the moment, but would be willing to do any job, is it realistic to think he could get something.
Thanks Tania X

There seem to be quite a few hairdressing jobs in the local papers. If I were you or anyone else who is coming over to Melbourne I would be reading The Age - Business, World & Breaking News | Melbourne, Australia employment section there is one every day and more on a Wednesday and a large employment section on Saturday.

Also look in the Herald Sun.

Although a lot of employers put their ads on line on the Job Sits they also often advertise in the papers, preferring not to deal with expensive job agencies, there may be more of this now with firms looking to cut their costs.

Good luck.

Just returned from our validation trip and we bought one of the local newspapers and there was 5 jobs advertised for hairdressers so feel quite happy that i should get something, within the Mornington area.
