How far into process: Wife passed skills assessment end of last year & yesterday had confirmation to move to stage 3/3 & book medicals & police checks . Although not confirmed, I think this means we have provisional approval subject to these reports?
Job: Karens a Nurse, myself IT Sys Admin
Where ya heading? Melbourne (probably Frankston)

Also, just sold house (exchanging contracts in next few days) and will be renting the house next door, what a stroke of luck!
Looking forward, but still no certain on areas and jobs, but what the heck, in for a penny.....

Know what you mean.
Our medicals and police checks etc were lodged in May09 (for Regional Sponsored 475 visa), still waiting confirmation. Sold house (exchange contracts soon), no job to go to! Still why get bogged down with the small details.
Looking to move to Ballarat/Bendigo/Geelong or wherever I can get a job.

Well good luck job hunting, that will be my next step, but at least i've managed to update the old CV (it was over 8 year out of date so total re-write).
Slight movement, Police checks come through, no suprises luckily :-)
Also, completed medicals which have been done & gone off, so just awaiting the final confirmation.
House sale complete and living as tenents in the house next door! The new buyers were suprised, but it sooo weird living next to you old house you used to own!
Fingers crossed the jobs front & exchange rates improve!
