Smile Melbourne Estate Agent will help with rental property

Hi
As most of you probably know, we provide short term furnished rental property in Melbourne near the CBD and also in and around the Mornington Peninsula. Now this is fine for when you first touch down but a lot of people seem to be having trouble with finding a long term rental when they arrive. I have now spoke with the rental manager at a well established realestate agency and she is willing to work with us and accept people arriving to Melbourne without the need for payments in advance and references etc. They deal with rentals in Frankston, Frankston South, Mornington, Mount Eliza, Mount Martha, Seaford, Carrum Downs, Pakenham and other suburbs around these areas. Unfortunately she cannot accept your application until you have viewed the property, but you can always get a short term rental for a few weeks and then look at the properties. She has just had 4 brand new builds go up for rent in Mornington this week. So please people don't worry there are agents out there who are more than happy to help

Hi Tess
Unfortunately Point Cook is at the other side of the Bay and they don't cover this area. Have you looked at www.realestate.com.au. Personally, I would have prefered 4 weeks in the short term rental, the reason being is that most realestate agents do an open house on either a Saturday or Sunday and are loathe to open up for you or let you view outside of these days. I am sure it can be done in 2 weeks if you really put your mind to it. I have just had a look on the realestate website for rentals in Point Cook and it says there are 70 available, if you click on one of the properties it shows you a property summary and if you click the "Show Visits" it gives you some idea as to how many people have viewed the property on the website. Don't be put off by these figures as the house we got when we arrived it stated 1021 had viewed but we still managed to secure it, a lot of the site visits are neighbours and friends looking at the property as well.
You could always try
http://www.pointcookrealestate.com.au/ as well. Maybe start looking on these sites a week before you are due to move over and then try and arrange a viewing for when you arrive.
Good luck with the move and if you have any questions at all on Melbourne please feel free to PM me anytime.

What a great thread MovingtoMelbourne. We have already seen your website and its saved to favourites. We are hoping to come over next year on a 457 visa (if can get a sponsor). Will definately be contacting you for your services.
