I just think it shows how beautiful Melbourne is, yes you have the good parts and the bad parts but then so does everywhere. It really annoys me when people knock a state or a suburb and they have never lived there. I think people need to take all the information on these boards with a pinch of salt and choose for themselves. Personally I would rather be in Australia than the UK and I don't mind which state, suburb I live in as none can be as bad as some of the ones back home.
