With regards rental, you I presume have no credit rating in Oz, what we did was bring mortgage statements, bank accounts, bills etc that went back about 12 months to show that we had good credit rating and were neither overdrawn or in arrears. That and paying 5 months rent in advance helped.

best of luck with the move

Hi
We have a lady who owns a rental in South Yarra a 3 bed, opposite Fawkner Park, in regards to Public Transport: There is a tram stop outside the apartment which runs directly into the city: Sth Yarra Railway Station is a 5 min walk from the apartment, and on the corner is a bus service that runs along Punt Rd.

I have also recently been in talks with a realestate company who are happy to rent out on a 12 month tenancy to any of our clients before they leave the UK. This is great news and the only agent I have ever been able to convince to do this. There properties range from $180 per week to $1200 per week, some of the properties will allow a 3 month rental, some are furnished some are unfurnished but they are all around the city area.

North Melbourne, West Melbourne, Parkville, Ascot Vale all good suburbs for the Royal Melbourne then you do not have to go through the city to get there.
