Self contained apartment Vs hotel

Hi
has anyone got any experience of using self catering apartments in Melbourne as opposed to hotels, we were thinking of staying in one in Melbourne for a week, whilst we settled in after the flight. We have two young boys and we're unsure which will suit them better

We stayed in a one bed apartment last time we were in Melbourne. It was great and I would imagine with kids it would be brilliant. It was nice to make our own breakfast and have a bit more space than in a hotel. They were called Saville Suites. This time we're staying at City Edge Apartments.

Hi Graham,

I'd recommend an apartment as well, especially as you have young boys. We had a holiday in Florida a couple of years ago and it turned out to be a mistake staying in a hotel. The best thing about an apartment is that you have more control over what and when you eat and aren't continuously telling the kids off for being 'kids'.

We are in Bromley.......not for long. We'll have to do a SE london meet up in Melbourne!
