Renting in Melbourne

Hi
We're hoping to move to Melbourne soon family of 5, three girls 17,18 and 21. Husband will be working in Kew any information on nearest (not too expensive) nice areas to rent? Also any idea how long it takes from selecting a rented house to moving in?
Heather

If the property is available, once you pay the bond & the first months rent in advance you can pretty much move in immediately if you have a sympathetic real estate agent.

Just seen your message. I was wondering how did you go about getting your 21 yr old in to OZ? I only asking due to having a 21yr old at home who works part-time and college aprt-time. I hope to take her on my skilled visa but I am not sure this can happen, due to her not being in full-time education?

21yr old

Hi
My husband is being sponsored by an Australian Company and we are all on his 457 Visa as three girls (17,18 and 21) will be dependant on us when we go to Melbourne. We've got as far as request for chest x-rays, so far so good. Keep you posted

Hi
been waiting to see what was happening with the girls, oldest two, 18 and 21 have been taken off visa, because they are working full time although they still live at home, they have to apply in thier own right, probably applying for working/holiday visa, this is why our visa has been held up, only found out Friday 18th April started our visa on March 3rd. Hope this helps
