HEY,

JUST GOT IN FROM WORK AND NOTICED MY O/H POSTED A MESSAGE, JUST THOUGHT I WOULD PUT MY TWO PENNY WORTH IN, I GET TO TRAVEL ALL OVER MELBOURNE WITH MY WORK, AND BERWICK AND PAKENHAM HAVE SOME LOVELY PLACES TO LIVE. I WORK WITH SOME PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN BERWICK AND THEY LOVE IT THERE, TRUST ME THERE ARE A LOT WORSE PLACES TO LIVE! THE ROAD LINKS ARE PRETTY GOOD AND ARE CURRENTLY BEING IMPROVED WITH BYPASSES AND SUCH. NOT TO FAR FROM THE DANDENONG RANGES AND SUCH. IF YOU ARE INTENDING TO BE A REP I WILL SAY GET SAT NAV THE ROADS IN RUSH HOURE CAN BE SLOW SLOW SLOW DONT BUY IN THE UK THEY ARE JUST AS CHEAP HERE ITS NOT TOO HARD TO GET AROUND AS MOST OF MELBOURNE IS BASED ON A GRID SYSTEM. WE LOVE IT HERE AND IM SURE YOU GUYS WILL. ALL MORTGAGES HERE ARE ASSEST INDIVIDUALY THE TRICK IS NOT TO OVER BORROW AS THE HOUSE PRICES HERE ARE RISSING STEADERLY AND THE INTEREST RATE IS ALSO DUE TO GO UP AGAIN HERE. KEEP AN EYE ON THE UK RATE AS THE POUND IS RUBBISH AGAINST THE DOLLAR RIGHT NOW.

Hi
Thanks for that info. When we actually get a Case Officer and things are moving forward I will be in touch for some advice if that's OK. We are coming to Melbourne and probably stay with relatives in Philip Island which is a bit out of the way for looking around. Do you know anything about Geelong? That's one place I have been looking at on the web.
Thanks again.
Lesley

Hi there,

Sorry to ask, but everyone on any thread I go to always seem to have info on Mornington and surrounding areas, or over the Point Cook side. I have been trying with no success to find out about the suburbs in the North....Greenborough, Bundoora, Watsonia, Thomastown, Resevoir etc but have drawn a complete blank...are you....or anyone able to give me any info on those ( and surrounding) areas??? It would be so much appreciated. Thanks,
Mac

My husbands job is in Clayton South and we are looking for suitable areas to live with good primary schools and kindergaden/pre-school/nursery faciltites.

Also abit further out - does anyone know what the Cranbourne area is like?

Any help - would be greatly appriciated as its all abit confusing at the moment!

hi there, i have a friend who lives in berwick and we are looking to move out there after xmas- well oz anyway - doing a reckie in may to check out places. unfortunately she looked at cranbourne and was told it was a bit of a dodgy area(you get them everywhere). you need to do a reckie and check out areas of interest. take advice and listen to friends and family.
