Holiday rental recommendations in Melbourne

Having spent a long time thinking about it, my family and I have decided to go to Melbourne for a recci visit at the end of Feb for 3 weeks. Can anyone recommend any holiday rental properties/reputable holiday agents? Have been looking online, but have not realy found anything available at such short notice and within our price range. Would be grateful for any suggestions, cheers Claire.

Your best bet may be a furnished apartment. We stayed in one when we first arrived before we sorted out our rental. There are any number in Melbourne and I don't know what your budget is but try some of these.

Hi, my family and i are heading over in June this year for a recci also, we found a cottage in melbourne only mins from MCG and very close to centre of Melbourne its also very reasonably priced and sleeps 5.
It can be viewd on the below website,

http://www.melbaccom.net.au/

If you wish to check availablity and get a price you are better using the below email address.
roofserv@netspace.net.au

The person you deal with is Pamela and the property is accessabile at any time of night when you land, she even stock the fridge with milk eggs, bread etc to get you started as she informs me that alot of her guests go to ground for a few days on arrival due to the flight.

Thanks everyone for your replies. We have booked a villa in Sydenham, can any one tell me if it is a nice area? We have had a good look online and it looks nice, but it would be great to have someone's view that has been to the area.

Thanks, Claire.

If you are heading down towards the Mornington Peninsula you could check out the availability of our properties. We can also help in acquiring a rental car at discounted rates.
