Hi Norry and Leigh,
Thanks for your very kind offer. My hubby and I are off to Melbourne around May so I am sure I will have a few questions in the coming months.
How are the two of you finding Melbourne so far?
Regards Lisabella

hi kelly...we initailly went through a nursing agency to get jobs however, we did not really get what we were looking for so emailed hospitals ourselves. The hospital we are now working at sponsored us....work is pretty much the same...different routines and ways of doing things...there are lots of nurses from the uk here most are here for a year then go, the aussies are really friendly and make you feel really welcome...if you do decide to come im sure you will enjoy it....Norry.

Hi, my family and i are thinking of emigrating. I am an auxillary, working at the local hospital in day surgery. I've been doing the job for the past 10 years. Do they have such positions in ozzy hospitals?

Hi,
I am a registered nurse looking to come to Victoria next year. By the time we arrive I will have been qualified for 4 years. What can i expect to earn (take home) each week/fornight. Also what are the holiday entitlements?
Any help would be very much appreciated!!

Hi Norry&Leigh: I am also a nurse just starting the process of filling in initial forms etc to get to oz, I was wondering bout the little silly things....like are all the medications named different, what the shift patterns are....is nursing similar or very different? Any advice, or just your own experience to tell us about would be appreciated......
