South Gippsland?

I know alot of you have been looking to move to the Mornington Penisula but no-one has mentioned the other side of Western Bay on the Bass Coast.

The biggest town is Wonhaggi (a former mining town).

What sort of a place is it like to live/work are the any no-go's???

Hi. We moved to Gippsland 6 weeks ago to a place called Sale. We absolutely love it!!!!!!! There are loads for the kids to do; great sporting and outdoors things; fantastic youth groups and lovely people. Would highly rate the town. Our family are really happy here (38,37,14(m),13(f) and 8(m). It was a good move all round.

We are also thinking of Sale, or Bairnsdale

Will have to be in Melbourne for first 2 years, but will use that time to have a good look around at the regional towns.

Glad to hear everything is going well!!!

What are house prices like? I looked on the real estate web site and they look pretty good.
The lakes look amazing and are a must see.
Only thing that would worry me is work - I'd need to be able to earn a living sparking.
