I Work In A Salon 4 Days A Week And Work Mobile 1-2 Days A Week.i Started Hairdressing When I Was 16 Then When I Was 20 Decided I Wanted To Try Something Different,i Did Everything From Waiting On To Shop Work.so After I Had Jamie I Enrolled At College To And Did It All Again And Ive Never Looked Back.ive Been Lucky Coz The 1st Job I Got After College Was With A Company Called Regis The Pay Wasnt That Good But The Training Was Excellent, the Job I Have Now Im Sent Regulary To Wella Studios In Manchester And Then I Train The Rest Of The Salon And I Love It.so Im Really Looking Forward To Opening My Own Salon ,using My Own Ideas, training My Staff And Enjoying Getting Up To Go To Work For A Change.x
Hi ya
Iam a Hairdresser too ,I've been doing it a long time now 26 years God that's scary... All my customers are saving up to fly over for their hair cuts . We fly on the 30 of December getting excited now but still loads to do.i worked in a salon ten years ago in Melbourne a bit different to the UK of course but good fun, i shall just do mobile this time, I had my hair cut today really sort so it would last a while.. I'll have to look you up when i need a trim... Good luck
Amanda
Hi Amanda
My name is Diane and I too am a hairdresser, like you I have had a successful mobile business.
Please can you tell me what I would expect to earn? Do you know what rate salons pay or what the average costs mobile hairdressers charge for Cut/Blow colours, highlights etc I am trying to work out how much we are going to have to live on if I carry on mobile in Aus or get work in a salon.
Thank you Diane :)
