Help needed

Hello All,
Need a bit of help here if that's ok?
We have nove moved out of our house and are going to book the tickets for fly out new years eve. Has anyone got any ideas where we could stay near the airport for a night? We then need to hire a car and get some short term accommodation sorted. We are thinking Geelong area so if anyone has had any experience of good lets I would be very greatful.
Sorry to ask all this but I no longer have access to the internet and the library restricts you to only 1/2 hour, I thought the wait and move were bad enough.
Any ideas would be most welcome

Thank you all so much

Karen

Hi Karen,
When we came out to Geelong, we stayed at the Waterfront apartments for the first 10 nights before securing our rental property. It was lovely , even better as it was part of a relocation package as I don't think it comes cheap! I know some people have stayed at the Barwon Valley Lodges(for 6-8 weeks) which are holiday cabins opposite a park in the Belmont area which is near to Highton. We haven't stayed near the airport at all but hired a car via Europcar as they have an office in Geelong as well.Hope this helps and good luck.

Liz

Hi Karen
It's opposite a big park with kids playground, and the Barwon River, which is great for walking. You have Belmont in one direction with Coles supermarket , Kmart and lots of shops on Belmont high Street.Highton in the other direction is a small lovely shopping area with lots of coffee shops (essential!), Safeways, greengrocers, newagents , pharmacy , gift shop, etc.

Hi

Just one other thing- you can use the internet for up to an hour a day at the libraries( printing 30c per page).Big library in Belmont, smaller one in Highton.
