Anyone recommend a good Melbourne map?

As the title says.....does anyone know of a good melbourne suburbs map that I can get from the Uk. Think we'll find it easier when doing research on areas to be able to see on the map distances to cbd, beaches etc.

cheers

Hi Lolly

Have you tried logging into Google Australia and then clicking Maps?

Their mapping of the cities in Oz is superb, I think.

Cheers

Gill

Hi Gill

thanks for the speed reply.

I'm actually after a paper map if I can find one - figured we could pin it up on the wall and really get a feel for where the different suburbs are.

Thanks for your help though.

Hi Lauren

I've got a terrific Melbourne & Region map, published by Hema Maps. One side is all of the suburbs, whilst the other side is of regional Victoria. Needless to say, it gets looked at most days

The bad news is: we bought it in Perth this year. The good news is: I've just searched on Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more and searched for 'Hema Maps' and lo and behold they have it on there

The one I've got, the red Melbourne & Region map also has the tram and rail routes on it.

Hema also have their own website which is Home but I've not looked on there.

Hope it helps chuck.

Rachel x

Hey Lolly,

Outside Australia I would use google maps as suggested earlier in the thread. It's been great for us to compare where places are. Here though we've been using my Uncle's Melways - a road atlas of the suburbs and it is very good! (Oh and TomTom to get us around!)
