Been there shopping a few times with sis in law who lives in Ferntree Gulley. Not too sure what the residential areas are like. Good sporting facilities though. However, there are many suburbs round that area to look at and housing is reasonable. Sorry, I can't be more help.

Boronia is located at the foot of the Dandenong Ranges but is not the only suburb within that area.

There are in fact heaps of lovely suburbs within striking distance of Glaxo's, so don't just set your mind on Boronia.

Glaxo's is in a nice location and the factory provides lots of facilites for the employees. They even have their own swimming pool. I think when you start with Glaxo's, it's from the gradle to the grave.

If you settle around that area, you will be living in a nice part of Victoria.

Some of the suburbs located within striking distance of Glaxo's would be, Boronia, Bayswater, Croydon, Kilsyth, The Basin, Ferntree Gully, Lilydale, Ringwood, Rowville, Montrose, just to name a few.

Here is a link to the Cites that those suburbs come under,

Knox City Council - About Knox

Maroondah City Council

In so far as Bricklaying goes, there are new homes going up everywhere and so you will have no problem in that regard.

Good luck and I hope my information is of assistance.

I live in the Basin, we have been here for about 4 months I work in Bayswater which is a large trading estate 5 mins away, in fact I drive past GlaxoSmithKline on the way to work, and the Basin is a great place to live.

Yes bart592, The Basin is a great place to live and I know the area well.

I am particular fond of the Dandenong Ranges and have over the years spent many happy days wandering through the area.

No response from the topic originator - maybe they have changed their minds?
