Where In Victoria?

Hi All:)

Can anybody offer any advice??? Moving out to Oz in 18 months and are looking at regional Victoria as a potential place to live.

We are considering the following places
Warnambool, Ballarat, Sale and Bairnsdale.

We have two young boys, 3 and 1 years respectively and wife is a nurse.

Any advice and opinions (good and bad) would be much appreciated.

We currently live in quiet rural village in Nottinghamshire and ideally would prefer countryty living in Oz, with good community spirit.

Many thanks:)

City Boy.

Cheers for the reply, will do some research. Have you lived in either Sale or Bairnsdale?

Not been there but we reeeeeally like the looks of Bairnsdale - but heard Gippland's been suffering from major flooding lately - soggy Yorkshire to soggy Victoria!! lol

Moving to Sale in 3 months and 1 week!!!!!! So far have found really good primary school - there are lots but Araluen P School seems great and the head is fantastic - already send our little boy balloons, stickers and letters from kids in his future class - as well as photos. The town itself seems to have loads to do. Lots of parks and a lovely lake; swimming complexes and cinema - plus only 20 mins from 90 mile beach!!!!. Plenty of nice shops, school selection and a great family church. Check out City of Sale, Gippsland, Victoria ~ Community Information Website ~ Sale, Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. Hope it helps and if you plan to end up there - give us a shout and we'll let you know how it is! Sarah

Hi

We were out in Oz in March and went and had a look round Gippsland. We actually fancied Lakes Entrance, until we got there!! Didn't like it at all.

However, we did discover Sale. Loved it, loved it, loved it!!!!!! Really nice looking town and all the residential areas looked neat and clean. I got the impression that people were proud of their town. House prices are good too.

Not so taken with Bairnsdale although it was fine.

Lucky you going to Sale!

Jean
