Moving toMelbourne Too!!

Hi guys, hubby and I plus our 2 labs are emigrating to Melbourne. Got visas and got back from validation end of March. Really didn't want to come back. Would be great to catch up with you guys and hopefully make some friends before we get there. Now just need someone to buy our house in Anglesey, North Wales.

Hi Sarah
On todays a place down under there was a family who moved from Wales to Melbourne and the place they moved to was full of the welsh! Besides your friends on PIO you are sure to make lots more.
Good Luck

My Mood:

We're headed for Point Cook hopefully early 08. ACS skills assessment has only been in a couple of weeks though.

I don't know if all the departments do this, but I have a user and password to let me check how it's going online. So far no one's looked at it, just debited my credit card.

The more time goes on, the more we imagine our new lives there, and the more we look at our current existence as temporary. It had better work out now!

The west side of Melbourne looks great. Lots of space, a couple of really good beaches at Altona and Williamstown, and it's in easy reach of Melbourne, Geelong and the Great Ocean Road. I can't wait to explore.

And because it's flat, we'll be going out cycling together as a family - it's all hills in the Yorkshire Dales! I like that a lot, but not for cycling.

Mornington looks lovely, but a bit far out of the City and a bit expensive. Might just have to visit PIO over there!

Cheers,

Spock.

We're heading for Mornington area aswell.
Can't wait to get there!
I've gone off all my friends, the children now hate school, my husband doesn't want to go to work....................WE DON'T WANT TO BE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suppose it's just a case of our minds being in Australia while our bodies are unfortunately still here in England...........hopefully they will be reunited again in the not so distant future!

We're heading for Werribee too. The house prices are fantastic, lots of shops in walking distance, train station to city, easy commute. Just trying to find a good school. Any suggestions?

Us too...Myself, t'husband and Bump are coming to Melbourne, aiming for Aug / Sept 2008 if all goes to plan...Can't wait, it looks like such an amazing city. We're hoping to settle quite close to the city - been looking on the internet at suburbs like Fairfield, Kew etc and also the bayside suburbs like Brighton and a bit further round.

Oh my goodness I never realised that so many people were heading to Melbourne because always seemed that Perth and Bris were on the top of most people's list.

Myself 29,hubby Dean 37 and Josh 16 months are off to visit Melbourne this Novemember to check out work (me finance and hubby insurance), living, cost and really if we fall in love with Melbourne. We have been to most places in Oz but can you believe it not Melbourne. I am sure we will love it and will then fingers crossed sell our house and get there for about April 08..

Like the look of Greensborough, Geelong, Point Cook and Sanctuary Lakes. Such a big place and where do you start?? Think we will be doing lot's of driving..

Shani
