Smile Horsey area West of Melbourne?

Hi

Can anyone suggest a good family area west of Melbourne which has links to good facilities schools etc yet also allows for a feeling of semi-rural with some good horse riding facilities.

Look forward to your ideas!!

Caroline

..er...pretty much all of it...

Bachus March / Gisborne area might suit... Melton if you want closer-in... And of course Little River / Lara / Geelong...

Nelson is on a distinguished road
I recently saw a small holding for sale on realestate.com.au which was only a few minutes drive from Sanctuary Lakes, towards Werribee South Beach. It was advertised as being 2 minutes from an equestrian centre. The land from Sanctuary Lakes to the RAAF Point Cook base along Point Cook/Aviation Road is ideal for keeping horses and there are a few properties with several acres that would suit stabling.. Definitely worth checking out!
