Lara?

Does anyone have info. on Lara asa a place to settle.

Searching property websites it looks a good area for affording a nice property with a couple of acres - however with two young children we also need to be fairly close to schools etc!!

I know, we want it all!!

Any thoughts appreciated

Caroline

Not heard of Lara - but this site is good for the areas of Victoria so if you know a town nearby you might be able to get an idea what it's like from here, hope it helps

Lara sits just outside Geelong, on the road to Melbourne. Two of my staff live there, and one has just made an offer on another house (moving house within the town) so it can't be that bad.

It sits off the freeway, so i tend to drive by, rather than through (which is not a bad thing for residents...

All in all it seems to be a sleepy hollow... very pleasant to look at... Supermarmakets and schools in the town, and only 15 - 20 mins away from Geelong, Victoria's second largest city...

I have some dear friends living there. They have an acre block they bought about three years ago, moving there from Geelong. They have a horse and a pony in a large paddock out the back of a very nice modern house. My partner and I stay the weekend when we visit, always feels like we're on holidays, love it for the seclusion value. Can't comment on the town though, and I don't really know what ammenities are available, only 20 mins out of Geelong so you won't go needing for anything.
