Advice about Point Cook/Sanctuary Lakes Area

Hi everyone. We are hoping to move to Melbourne in the not too distant future and Point Cook and Sanctuary Lakes look ideal for us as far as house size and price. However, we would like to know how easy it is to commute to Melbournes CBD. What the schools are like and how accessible are they (we have 3 boys, aged 12,9, & 7) and finally is the cost of basic food stuffs eg. fruit, veg, pasta, bread etc really any cheaper than in the U.K?

A lot to ask I know, but might put my mind at rest a little. Thanks. Jo.
