Roxburgh Park, Melbourne

Hi

Our books have arrived and after a read and discussions with a colleague from Australia, we have been advised that Melbourne is a good place to move too.

Hubby has been looking at job sites (perhaps a little early), but we need to know that he can get a job, he has also looked at properties and found Roxburgh Park where the properties look VERY nice and at a very good price, where we live, if you get a nice house at a very good price, it usually means that there is something wrong. We could be way off the mark and hope we are as we have found a number of possibilities but the price seems too good for the property. Can anyone give any advice on Roxburgh Park and the immediate surrounding areas? When you are so far away it is difficult to narrow areas down.

We have found Google earth very good when looking at proximity to the beach, railway networks and major roads.

Melbourne is a great place to be.

http://www.news-travel.info/october/...-australia.htm

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melbourne...and is repeatedly voted the worlds most liveable city...

Roxburgh park is a relatively new estate, located on the northern outskirts of Melbourne (about 20km from the City centre), on the Road to Sydney (The Hume Highway).

As far as a place to stay.. by all reports very nice. Certainly with ready access to road networks and amenities. New train station construction underway...less than half an hour from the Airport...

Beach... not so sure about that. It would be harder (in melbourne terms) to be further away... About an hour, maybe...

try a look at http://www.roxburghpark.com/ for what is close by.

There are contact telephone numbers and e-mail addresses for the residents association here too.
