Hi there,

Can anyone tell me anything about Sale? We are planning to move down there in October 2007 and would love to hear anything from anyone who knows anything about schools, churches, housing areas, clubs, medical care etc. Also how far is it form the nearest largest town. Any info would be great. Thanks, Sarah. :)

I think this should cover what you need to know and it also has a link to RAAF Base East Sale.

RAAF Base East Sale is a very pretty little Base and the Messes are very good and friendly. I think from memory it also has a Golf Course and Swimming Pool.

Sale itself is a nice big rural town and you should get all you need in terms of shops, clubs etc.

Sale is situated in the Gippsland area which is a beautiful area of east Victoria. You are within striking distance to scenic drives, lakes and beaches.

Take note of the weather, for it can be quite hot in summer and cold in winter and my advice is to bring your winter woolies. :)

We head to Sale in October and have our formal offer now. Did you serve down there? As there are no other replies on this thread I am guessing it's a bit of a ghost town can't wait..........
