Considering Geelong

Hi Fraser.

I have enjoyed reading your info on Geelong . I am ( an optometrist) considering migrating to Geelong with my wife (a nurse) and two young sons. We already have our visas and made a reccie out to Oz last year. We initially considered Perth/ Adelaide and having visited both we prefered Adelaide. However, we are also considering Geelong due to its cooler climate and proximity to Melbourne.

Neither of us have visited Geelong before and I wonder if you have any idea of job opportunities for both myself and my wife in or around Geelong. I plan to do a second reccie alone next year to visit Geelong to look at suitable suburbs for young families.

Any advice or assistance you may provide would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

BW

Hi Karen.

Try www.realestate.co.au, click on the map of Oz (victoria) and rentals.

You may find some there.

Thanks Barry/Stue116,
Links are really helpful will have a good look. My brain has gone to mush at the moment. Too much to think about and not enough time! Still I took a walk into town today and posted my husbands skills assessment off at the post office!!! We have sent a request for STNI sponsorship last week. Just waiting back from those 2 now before we send the visa off and then it's Geelong, here we come!!!!!!
