Driving

No points are not transfered that is why people have their Uk licenses stamped so that they can't show those when speeding :D
It is worth bringing proof of no claims with you as that is always useful but not sure about AA/RAC we are members of the RACV here but not sure if they have any link.
All the best.
Nicky

If you are in Victoria on a permanent visa, you can drive on your overseas licence for only three months from the date you entered Victoria or from the time a permanent visa was issued to you.

If you want to continue to drive in Victoria after that time you must apply for a Victorian driver licence.

This involves passing a computer-based competency road-rules test, followd by an actual driving test (that includes a compulsory recverse park!)

My apologies... I certainly had to, as did my Wife.

...however, the Vicroads webiste does appear allow exemptions as follows:

Exemptions from licence tests
If you hold a driver licence from one of the following countries you are not required to undertake any tests provided your overseas licence is current or not expired by more than five years. However, you still need to make an appointment to changeover your licence if you are from a recognised country.

Austria Finland Italy Portugal UK
Belgium France Japan Singapore USA
Canada Germany Luxembourg Spain
Croatia Greece Netherlands (Holland) Sweden
Denmark Ireland Norway Switzerland

Soory....My bad :(
