Hi guys,

Advice please! Once your qualifications have been assessed, and you have registered with your professional body, what happens next? Is it the STNI application 1st, or visa application to DIMIA?

Also, at what point do you have to get medicals organised? Do they do it for you? Where can they be carried out? At what cost? Counsel gratefully received!!!!

1st) we went on the Victoria website and applied on line for the Gov'n there to sponsor us, we had a reply within eight weeks.

2nd) Went to TRA got skills assessed and accepted.

3rd) Completed Visa application, received by DIMA on the 9th September 05

4th) Contacted CO asked about Medicals they instructed us to go for them, they were done 31/01/06

5th) Confirmation of visa grant via email 21/02/06, fly to Melbourne 19/06/06.

Yes Foxton is not to far from us, small world.

TRA is trade recongition Ass, who looks at your skills and decides if they are valued in OZ

CO is your assigned Case Officer

We are heading for Melbourne at first then want to settle on the outskirts
