:shock: Hello to you all! I am emigrating to the geelong area in April 2006 after 2 years of trying to get the visas granted. We are looking at going to the belmont/highton/newtown area but any advice would be fab! Got 2 children so looking at schools etc for them but most importantly work for us both. Hubby is an aircraft engineer and I am a counsellor but also work as a community carer. Hubby is looking into career change so aircraft work not essential.
Looking to rent 3 bed place for a while and then buy a property with a bit of land for my new venture of CHICKENS and DUCKS!! Yes My friends here think I am losing my tiny mind! Can't wait to get out there. Any advice on the move would be appreciated. Thanks and good luck to you all x :D

From what I have seen on here and on the BritVics site there are a few people moving to Geelong so you shouldn't be alone out there. We have travelled through on our way to Torquay beach which was a great day out.
There seems to be a lot of engineering around the area so you should be OK work wise.
