Hi i'm lisa. Myself and my family are about to emigrate to mornington, melbourne as soon as we sell our house.. We haven't visited Australia so obviously we don't really know what to expect. If there is anybody out there who has moved to Mornigton could you please contact me with some info' about the place, schools, climate and lifestyle etc anything really. I am not going to be working but looking after our baby and son who is 7.. Thanks Lisa x x :?
Hi there we live about 3 -4 hours from Mornington (practically next door in Australian terms hee hee) and were there for an Ex-Pat meet a couple of weekends ago. It is a lovely area and there are a few Uk families in the area. You should check out the site http://s7.invisionfree.com/BritVics/index.php and post the same question you should get loads of info from people in the area.
Good luck and maybe we will see you at one of the meets in the future (we don't get to them all as it is a bit far).

Hi - you will love Mornington- lots of lovely cafes, good shops and great climate ( not too hot) It is an up and coming area and has become quite trendy- used to be a sleepy little fishing village. Some lovely walks there! I live about an hour and a half away and know it quite well.
Hi Lisa
We live in Lytham St Annes (Lancs) and we plan to emigrate at the end of the next academic year. We still don't know which part of Victoria to go for, although we are of course drawn to the coast! On what basis are you going? I'm applying for a STNI visa (secondary school teacher), although the process is glacial, as I'm sure you know.
So, what have you found out about Mornington, and why did you choose the place?
