ANYONE FROM WALES GOING TO VICTORIA

Hi Angie&Sean,
We are in the process of emigrating to victoria and from south wales,It's a long old road but it's got to be worth it in the end.We are hoping to be on the plane either feb/march fingers crossed :lol:

We are hoping to be away by the end of November but, are still waiting waiting waiting for the Visa to come through, Any idea's were you will be heading in victoria ? Wat type of work do you do ?

My husband is a mm 1st class and I am a hr assessor, we have two kids rhiannon 14 and rhys 10 yrs.

How long have you been waiting for you're visa,My job is a fabricator/ welder and talking to my mate who lives there say's there's loads of work out there for me :lol: ,have you had you're medicals done and where did you get them done and are the medicals very strict.Hoping to live south east of melbourne around the narre warren area where are you moving to ,as we want a 4 bedroom house you get more value for you're money the further away you are from melbourne and they say it's only 45 minute drive to the city and 15 minutes away from the beach :P .We have 3 kids 2 boys 11 and 8 and a daughter 9, hope to be there soon after the new year as their school terms starts then and want to get kids settled asap.Hope all goes well.

Hi Fancyfella & Tribe,

We have been waiting too long :roll:

We main app went in March 05, meds pcc sent end july 05 requested, have heard nothing since, doing our heads in now :shock:

Sean is a metal machinist 1st class and has managed to secure a job in northern victoria, a place called Wodonga, it is on the Victoria/NSW border. We had our medicals done in Trethomas, there is also a doctor who does them in Cardiff, Dr Palmer was very nice, she just checked all our blood pressure, reflexes, eyes, hearing, felt our tummies and asked a series of questions, we thought it was quite straight forward and nothing to worry about.

Wat is your timeline, when did you apply etc..

Speak soon, maybe we should arrange a get together for us welsh folk in the area migrating to oz soon.
