We are going to be arriving in Melbourne, just after Xmas 2005, just after some general advice as when we arrive its that daunting time of not knowing anyone, no where to live and no job. Anyone got any suggestion on places to stay ie for say first say three - four weeks weeks, hostels, cheap motels, etc.. until we find our feet and some lease accommodation, :? :?
What part of Victoria will you be seeking employment?
How much are you prepared to rough it.
I know a UK girl who stayed in a Back Packers Hostel for a month, it was very cheap but it was pretty rough.
In the outer suburbs of Melbourne there are some good caravan parks with cabin accommodation. These are self standing cabins with two bedrooms, kitchen, toilet etc. They might be worth considering.
A lot depends on where you will be looking for employment.
