migrating to bentleigh east

hi, my partner and i are hoping to migrate to melbourne within the next 6 months, he has been in touch with employers (capital smart) and has been told there are opportunities in bentleigh east, the renting prices seem to be quite high in this area and we were wondering how far it is to berwick as we would like to rent there as it is cheaper and also have friends already there.

any information would be appreciated

Bentleigh is a nice area with good transport links to Melbourne central so its a desirable place to live.

If you were to rent in Berwick your oh would either drive to work or take the train, depending on where his place of work is situate he may have to change trains at Caulfield and take the Frankston train to Bentleigh.

I would allow an hour to get to work or perhaps a little more in peak from Berwick, if driving it will depend on the South Eastern Freeway and its a bit like the M25 in peak.
