hi people some advice please. I am moving to melbourne working for bmw In south Yarra. Where would you recommend to live thats reasonably priced and a good area. close to all shops as possible.

There are a lot of blocks of rental apartments in South Yarra itself, a lot are older and they probably would be the cheaper ones. If you have family though do not think they would be big enough. South Yarra, Prahran, South Melbourne are all good areas and easy to get to work from.

If you want cheaper then you probably need to have a look at the Metlink site and trace the train lines out, that way you will be able to use public transport to get to work.

So do you have a family coming with you or is it just you? If you have family then you may want to head further out of the city, if its just you then you probably would be better staying around the area.

Realestate.com.au will give you an idea of the prices of rentals.

If its just you then South Yarra, Prahran will be ideal for you. Can also look at Richmond. Singles like these areas. Easy for life after work.
