Playgroups mum and toddler groups around Melbourne

Hi we're moving to Melbourne in March (Wifey, Baby and Me) and we're trying to get an idea of which areas we would like to live in before we get there and we quite like the look of Berwick and anywhere along the coast from St Kilda to Patterson Lakes. We've found lots of information on properties but not really that much regarding which areas are the best for families.
I've not found much information on playgroups, baby classes and mum and baby groups and other things like that so could anybody offer a bit of advice regarding which are the best areas to live in for families in terms of there being other young families and lots of things to do nearby.

Welcome to PIO. Berwick is a very family friendly area as is Lynbrook. Take a look at the council websites this will have a list of the child care options available in that area.
