Has anyone transported a caravan to oz?

We are moving to Perth in May 2008 and plan to take our caravan with us as we are struggling to find rental accommodation that will accept dogs (we have a boxer called Ruby). We have sent off for a vehicle permit for the caravan and are awaiting reply. Has anyone tried to transport a caravan from UK to Oz?

Er I haven't transported a caravan but what makes you think a caravan park will let you have a dog?
Also most caravans sold in Australia - are very different to UK ones

I would say buy a caravan in Aus they do some great modals.
Alot of caravan sites do allow dogs. Try to buy a book called Holidaying with Dog's

It's a good way of renting as at least your not paying somone elses morgage.

Alot of the WA sites do get busy in the summer so check and try to book.

Thanks for the book advice we'll try to get that one.

We have looked at lots of ozzy vans but not been struck by any or there price.

We are due in Perth at the end of May, so we hope its going to be quiet, apart from the gap year grany's who invade all year round.

Are you in oz? or about to go?
