commuting distance

Hi, hopefully moving Q1 2007. Cheryl will be working central Brisbane. Whats a typical work commuting distance?
Looking at real estate the farther afield generally the cheaper property prices

any suggestions welcome

Andy

Most folks will quite happily travel 30/40 mins if necessary.Brisbane centre is a nightmare for traffic so some folks opt for the train into the city.hope this helps a little

Hi Andy,

There are many suburbs in Brisbane if thats what you're after, public transport in Oz is loads better than over here. However because the population is not so dense as UK towns, if you fancy a beach location, the Gold Coast is within commuting distance of Brisbane, approx 40 mins (correct me if I'm wrong anyone) as the motorway (M1) runs straight up from the Gold Coast towards Brisbane.

We are in Brisbanes west side - Sinnamon Park - we can be in the city in 20 mins on a bus

Well here in Melbourne people start jumping up and down when a train is 5 minutes late, they seem to forget that an extraordinary number of them arrive on time, I've been quite impressed.
