I have been shopping for a new car and I have fallen in love with the Nissan Dualis its a 3.5 litre engine, I know the cost of fuel is cheaper, I was just wondering if they have road tax and if they do how much, my husband said I better hope my numbers come up before we leave.
Road Tax yes - it is called Rego in Australia -
Yearly cost is about $350 Dollars Plus 3rd Party Insurance - But it changes from state to state Also when you buy a car the State Governments like to charge between 2 - 4 % Stamp Duty so on a $10,000.00 car you will pay $300.00 at 3 %
Best thing to do is look up Nissan Australia web site for the car you want to see if it sold in Australia or what name its sold under find the retail price then go to the state you will be moving too and look up the Car rego costs in that State. All states are online and give a complete listing of costs
