Jaguar XK8

Hi

I have just bought this car a few weeks ago because I haven't had it 12 months does anyone know the tax implications on this vehicle. Also, does anyone know the cost of importing the car from start to finish? It is worth about £10000. I keep asking things but can't seem to get a full answer!

Hi,
I have tried to get the link for you but if you go to google australia, and type in aussiemove, on the home page go to the top line to the move, there is a link about cars, see if that is any help if not SORRY in advance.

Hi there,
I did think of taking my car over so did a bit of homework on it. You can go on the customs website and i found pss removals very helpful. You will have to pay full import tax on any car under twelve months.
After that it is a percentage of the au value. You will need a full size container to send it will your other goods approx £5000. You will also have to have the car steam cleaned and any alterations done for au standards. There was also added paperwork which put me off really. So it depends on how much you love your car. I cried for a week but after seeing their driving maybe it was wise.
Hope this helps
Debbie
